Welcome to my blog site. I hope you enjoy the page as much as I did building it. My title is called a new adventure which has many meanings in my life. My husband and I have been seperated the first three years of our marriage and we are finally together. So not only starting out like newly weds, we are also expecting our first child together in april which starts the biggest adventure of all. I wish everyone the best of luck in anything they want to do.

The things kids say.
It is amazing what kids say these days. Since my step son found out about the expecting baby, he has been so excited. Everything is about the new baby. He would sit on my lap and poke my stomache. and ask if his baby brother could feel that. It is so cute. We dont know if it is a boy or girl but he says it a brother. So me and my husband asked what would happen if it is a girl and he said he wouldnt like it and will send it back.. LOL..

Getting ready for the big news!
Well my blog is not going to be too long for this week. I lost out in a weeks worth of points because I could not even get into the kaplan server to do my homework so now Im almost failing my english class:(. But I am trying to keep that off my mind. I get to schedule my ultrasound sometime this week to see my unborn baby for the first time and hopefully find out if it is a girl or boy. I want a little girl but hubby and step son want a boy. So we will just have to wait and see.

My wonderful birthday weekend
This weekend was my 24th birthday and it was wonderful. Friday- we went shopping to get adam his halloween costume. It took forever because even at 4 years old, he is so tiny that nothing would fit him. We finally found a zombie one that he likes, My husband had to go to work, so me and adam hung out all day at home playing. After putting the lil one to bed, my husband called me because he was coming hoem from work. He told me to come down stairs. He suprised me with a WII and some games. I have always wanted one. So we stayed up till 4 in the morning playing it. The next day (Saturday the 23th) which is my b-day, my aunt and two cousins came over to spend the night. We all played the WII and just spent time together. The three kids with the help of my aunt made me a birthday cake which was very sweet. The next day, we went through some of mine and my husbands old army gear because my cousin is going to be an army man for halloween. So we got him all set up like a real soldier. After they went home, me, my husband and the lil one hung out before we brought him back home to his mom.

My first 2 doctors appointments for my pregnancy
I went to my first doctor appointment for my pregnancy. It was more to get things set and get a referral somewhere else. Since I have to do everything through the VA, somethings are hard to get done. Well, the first appointment turned into a diseaster. After seeing the doctor-he sent me over to get my blood drawn and urine test which I hate needles. That took an hour or so to get me in to do that. I finally got in and when they were drawing my blood I got dizzy and black out. So they took me to another room because my blood pressure dropped really low. While getting in there, I got sick everywhere-Dang morning sickness. Finally got out of there.
My second Appointment went a little better and this time I brought my aunt because my hubby couldnt come. They went over stuff and did some exams. I also got to hear my babys heart beat for the first time and it was the most amazing thing in the world. I did better with the blood draw this time and didnt even get dizzy-hint the reason they layed me down this time. But I still got sick in the exam room which they said it was a pregnant thing.

Changes are always around the corner.
I cant believe how many changes I have been through over the past three years. Thinking about my birthday coming up on Saturday: it makes me think of my life as it stands right now. Three years ago, I got married to my best friend. He is my world and I wouldnt know what to do without him. Along with marrying him, I got a step son with it: Adam. He is always making my husband and I smile. My husband left just five days after we got married for Afganistan where he was for 18 month than he was stationed at fot bragg, nc. So I moved to NC to be with him. Of course there is another change, I got my orders to deploy to Iraq just one month after getting to NC from AZ. I was there for a year and when I returned home in Janauary, my husband was than again sent somewhere else. So I had to wait 7 more months to be with the love of my life. Now we are finally together in Arizona. We have a house together and loving life with eachother and his son. Another change comes to our plate in August when we found out that we are expecting our first child together. We are so excited about having a family. So looking back at all the changes gone on just in three years, it was all worth it and I know that is always changes around the corner.
